I thought I'd check this out after hearing good things about it but have a few questions?

I notice that my Hard Drive is rattling like a scalded rabbit while doing just about anything?

Is there some tweaks or setup defaults that seem to work the best without wearing out the hard drive?

Do I need to use Ghost if I run this goback program or do they basicly do the same thing.

    Thanks

I used GoBack for awhile. It drove me nuts with the constant HD grinding. If you use Ghost, you make an image and forget it. You have to remember to make fresh ghosts as you change your program loads and updates. I use Drive Image and making an image takes about 4 minutes. It has been bought by Symantec so I assume it would be the same with Ghost 9. Also Acronis is out there which makes incremental backups. No experience with it.

I use ACRONIS' TruImage and it works great. I used to use DriveImage, but when Symantec bought PowerQuest it was time for a change. Also switched to Acronis' DiskDirector as a replacement for PartitionMagic (also works very well).
