When my computer goes into sleeper mode, and I come back to use it, I cannot "wake it up ". This doesn't happen every time, but at least once a day. If I turn my monitor off and turn it back on, I get a flashing message on my black screen that says "no signal ". The only way to "wake up" my computer and use it again is to turn off the power at my surge protector. Do I have a virus causing this? What can I try? Thanks for your help!

    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)

Personally to me, the sleep mode causes more problems then it's worth. At best, it saves 3 or 4 pennies a day in electricity.

For some reason your video card is not coming on, maybe due to the system not recognizing the mouse/keyboard input. I wouldn't use the sleep mode any longer.
