Hope someone can help me here.
I have searched the MS KB to no avail.
I cannot change any settings in my Power Schemes, all the options are greyed out and there are no default schemes in the drop down box.

    I am running a DELL Inspiron 8000 under Win2K SP2.

The BIOS ACMP is enabled and normal settings are there.

I recently installed HP toptools which also installed IIS & SNMP services but the software did not work correctly and I uninstalled it.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

    Many Thanks

    Chas

BIOS ACMP? Sorry but the only ACMP I'm familiar with is Ac Movie Pass and buy that to be able to access to **** sites that use it.

Did you mean APM (advanced power management)? If so, two suggestions.

    - Check to see if there is a BIOS update available and if so, load it.
    - Try disabling APM in the BIOS and see if things work better then.
