No Disk Clean Up

    Hi
    Can someone tell me why i cant get my computer to do a disk clean up. It starts and then just hangs on the opening box where it says scanning computer compress old files. I can never get it past this point. Making it so as that I have to go in manually and delete the temp files and waste bin. ect.
    Any ideas
