The digital clock on the task bar has disappeared. How do I get it back?

    bobpeacock--Could just need a reboot.
If that does not help, in the following order:
    1) Right click on a blank spot on the Taskbar (area where the clock used to be), then Properties. Is the box "Show the clock" checked? If not check it|Apply|OK| OK
    2) Start|Run|type sfc /scannow|OK. Have your XP CD available if requested to insert.
    3) Run System Restore to a date prior to the problem. Start|All Programs|Accessories|System Tools|System Restore.
    4) Somethings to consider, especially if the above do not help
    A) did you install anything (hard/software) just prior to the problem?
    B) finally ,

Thank you very much. I didn't realize how much I depended on that until I almost missed a birthday. Appreciate your easy-to-follow instructions. Cheers

bobpeacock--thanks for posting back. I understand the clock is back. Which suggestion worked?
