Hello all,I have used Netscape 404,451,475 and479 on my old machine, and am fond of Netscape.I recently got a new unit that came with IE6 and a mouse with a scrolling wheel. The new machine introduced me to Autoscroll, available in the Win XP Help and Support and in other pages resident on the computer.I was also able to autoscroll through web pages brought up by IE6,my only browser at that time, and I became very fond of being able to scroll hands free through a long document.Amazing!
However I missed Netscape,so I ordered it,the most recent version 7.02 on CD.I happily installed it,but quickly found out that autoscroll did not work, much to my dismay! How come?? Can this be remedied??Please advise.
New machine HP pavilion,512RAM,Pent4, 2.5GHZ,80GB HD.

    Hi Terry,

This is from the Release Notes:

    Windows:
Mousewheel scrolling does not work with all drivers. If you have problems, try updating your driver or disabling any "helper" programs that your mouse uses. If you have a Logitech mouse, you can either upgrade the driver (to at least v9.60) or enable the "Microsoft Office compatible scrolling" option in the Mouse/Buttons control panel.

Settings are in Edit | Preferences | Advanced | Mouse Wheel

    HTH,

    Ramona
