my Start>TurnOff > Standby works beautifully

However, when I set PowerOptions to do a Standby after a period, it is ignored.

I also tried setting it for one minute so I could test it but 3 an hour went by and no standby.

I would like to have that instead of a blank or screensaver.

At a guess, some driver is preventing the system from entering standby. Maybe generating continuous "activity" or maybe just buggy and broke the standby feature.

    Two things:

    - are there any event log errors that look related?
    - what hardware are you running (make/model of PC, etc.)
