Hello, when right clicking,or clicking a hyperlink, the new window pops up,but freezes,it captures whatever is behind it and fragments the display inside the window, nothing happens,it has to be closed.
I've tried many things, including repairing, reinstalling, running Dr Watson, system file checker, windows repair tool, running URLMON.dll and also installing IE6 Ser pack 1...the problem still exists,I'm completely up to date with all available d/loads.
Does any1 know of which components control this operation,I'd like to be able to check and see if I have them,or if any1 else has solved this? any help appreciated, cheers.

    OK,thx for that,allready got a hiccup,:-
On the Start menu, point to Programs, and then click either Windows Explorer or Windows NT Explorer.
Click View, click Folder Options, and then click File Types.
In the Registered File Types box, click URL:File Transfer Protocol, and then click Edit.
In the Actions box, click Open, and then click Edit.
The Application Used To Perform Action box may display the path to your Web browser as a short file name. Type the path to your Web browser using the full file name. For example, change:

    c:\progra~1\intern~1\iexplore.exe
    -to-
    c:\program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe (including the quotation marks).

Click OK, and then click Close.
Repeat steps 3-6 for the following registered file types:

    URL:Gopher Protocol
    URL:Hypertext Transfer Protocol
    URL:Hypertext Transfer protocol with Privacy

    Click Close.

OK,when changing the file name,a popup tells me the path is not correct,I've searched for ie6 and the only components in Prog files are :- IE6 BAK DAT, ie6.cab,ie6setup folder,ie6setup.exe.

As it auto installs, why is there no path to PROG ffiles and how do I make 1? also, why cant I find an installed explorer?
    Help much appreciated,thanks.
