New system needs Java

    Got a new system with Windows XP Pro (Service Pack 2).

    Works great.

    Except:

    Some of programs want Java.

    We go to the Java site and download.

    When we do an "Install" get message that "Proxy" is incorrect.

    What is a "Proxy "?

    How do we get one and how do we configure it so Java will install ?

    From that question you can readily tell we know very little tech stuff !
