According to the New York Times, Microsoft has just created a new search engine (www.live.com). But when I type a subject into this search engine, nothing happens. Can anyone tell me why? Thank you.

It worked like a charm for me.
If you didn't "sign in" with your MS passport you might try that. I didn't signin but it wouldn't hurt to try...

Worked fine for me using IE6 or Maxthon, but nothing loaded except the search bar using Firefox.

abx--www.live.com needs ActiveX Controls in order to run. Easiest way to accomplish that is to put www.live.com into Trusted Sites.
I found the scroll bar to be a little klutzy, but maybe I have not played around enough with it yet.
