I have a new LG GSA-H55N burner and it won't auto detect any DVDs that I have burned on it or on my other burner wether they be movies or data disks.

    I'm using Win ME

My other burner works fine and both are set at Auto detect !!!!!!

It (GSA-H55N) works fine in every other aspect.

    Hi,
It won't detect disks that have been burned on the drive itself? Does the other drive detect those disks?

I am only trying to pin-point where the problem may be. I am unsure.

Yes the burned disks play on my other burner but all settings in Device Manager are identical for both burners.
That burner will play original bought or rented DVDs.

you can try upgrading the firmware
have you tried other types of blank discs
I know that there can be problems with some 16 X ones - some just do not seem to mesh
