Hopefully I can explain this where it can be understood......
Got a new comp that has 2 onboard usb NIC connections. If I hook my cable modem straight to either of the connections, I get a box that says that there is either no internet connection or is diminished. But, if I hook into my router (Linksys) which my old comp was hooked into (there are two others on the router also), I have a connection but the DL speeds are way low..30 kb a second. I talked to Comcast and went thru the netsh commands and it didn't help. They told me it had something to do with some Windows back area commands..Anyone have an idea?
My OS is Win XP Pro SP2

Have you tried turning the modem off for five minutes to reset it?
