Ok here is my situation. I have

    - A Computer
    - A Server which will be used a web server
    - a monitor with analog and digital output
    - 1 keyboard
    - 1 mouse

My question is, is there a way for me to 'control' the web server through a network from my pc using the same keyboard, mouse and monitor.

If you go the KVM route price up the four port versions. They aren't that much more expensive, and in my experience 6 months down the line you'll be asking yourself "if only I could add another PC ".

Remote desktop works a treat if you have a 2003 server and an XP client. If not, other remote desktop apps such a VNC are worth a look at (e.g www.tightvnc.com).

Personally, if the two PCs sit under my desk, I'd go the KVM switch route. If I wanted the ability to put the server in another area or was tight for cash, I'd go the remote desktop route.

    Both options are good.
