--Well thing have been running so smooth that I just can't resist trying something new.--

I just received my D-Link 301U Print Server today.

It states that I should use a STRAIGHT-Through CAT5 Ethernet RJ-45 cable to connect it to a LAN port on the Router.

--Is this the same type of cable that I am using between the machines and the Router now or is it different ?--

I sure hope I can find one shorter than 25 feet long :D

Should be the same BB. And also shouldn't bother it if it is 25ft. long.

    Thanks.

But it is not whether it will bother the operation or not.

It is the question of where I would store all of the extra cable. It will only be about 1' ( 1 foot (12" )) between the Router and the server.

Also I just looked around and I found a 12' one.

I have so many cables behind this thing now I guess one more won't hurt.
