    how can I remove the password prompt whe trying to access shared resources on another computer. I am using windows 2000 pro.

    This really depends on if the network is being controlled by a domain controller, under the assumption that you are on your own home network and you do not have a domain controller.
    What you can do is go to the system where you network resource is and create a user id and login that matches your user id and login on the windows 2k machine...
    Then you will automatically authenticate...
    If you are on a LAN with a domain controller I would recommend speaking with the network admin.

    With a little more specific information about the resource, IE printer, network volume or drive, etc...
    and the operating system on the other computer I could give you a more specific answer.
