Don't know if this is the proper forum but it seemed the closest.

Running Win98 2nd Ed. Connected to a cable modem. Since having to re-install Win98, am able to ping an IP address but not it's www equivalent. Nor can I access any web sites via Explorer or Netscape.

It is not a DNS problem since when another computer is connected to same modem, both pings are fine and am able to use Explorer and Netscape.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Chuck
