Need Some Information

Can Someone suggest me some good websites with information on what to look for when buying a new computer with particular reference to the mainboard ?

Actually, about 2/3 years ago I bought a PIII and this week when I took it for repair, I learned that I had the cheapest mainbord that I could posibly have. Therefore I would like to learn some infomration, so that hopefully next time I will make a better deal when buying another pc.
