need help with another HJT log

I have my neighbor's daughter's laptop now to look at. She was on the net the other day and she saw a pop up about her PC not being protected from spyware then her NIS displayed a warning about a trojan virus. I ran a complete scan with the NIS software and it found nothing, it's up to date with the latest signatures too. I'm posting the HJT log to see if there is really anything to be concerned about. I was surfing with the laptop for about 15 mins. and didn't see anything unusual, but I said I would check it out for her. Here's the log;

That was easy eh? Just as easy tor remove too. Oh and there's also MyWaySearchAssistant(SA), courtesy of Dell, ya know, to help keep those new PC costs down.

First thing we need to do is stop Plug and Play Device Manager service:
Go to: Start > Run > type " services.msc ", then click OK

When the Services window appears scroll down to the Plug and Play Device Manager service.

Click it to highlight it, then <right-click> and select: Properties
Select and set "Service Status" option to "Stop"
Select: "Startup type" and set it to "Disabled ", click Apply, then OK.

Also perform the above steps with the following service:
XCP CD Proxy


Access your Add or Remove Programs Control Panel by hitting your [Start] button, select Control Panel and click on Add or Remove Programs. Then find the following programs and click the [Change|Remove] button for each, if they are listed. If they are not, continue with instructions

Run HJT, and place a check next to the following lines, then, with all browsers and windows closed, hit 'Fix checked':

Everything looks great.

I'd perhaps run thru the system for unneeded start ups, seems to be alot running which does not need to be.

I'm thinking you got my 'canned recommendations' down pat so won't bore you with them yet again.

 

That sounds good, one down and one to go. I do have your 'canned recommendations' and I'll take a look at getting rid of some unnecessary stuff before releasing it to the owner. I'll let them know what I remove from startup, they wouldn't have a clue otherwise.
