Navigator?? Communicator??

    Could some one please tell me what the difference is between the two?

    I've always been IE bound and am confused about the whole world of Netscape.:confused:

    In version 4.xx, Communicator is a name of suite, and Navigator is the main browser, Messenger is the e-mail and newsgroups reader,... etc. Just like Microsoft Office is the suite, and Word is one of its application.
    In version 3.0x and 2.0x, Navigator is simply the product name, and in fact it is the main browser. (Netscape Mail is included in Navigator).
    In version 6, the company drop the name Communicator for the suite, and now the suite is called "Netscape 6 ", where Navigator is still the component does the same old day's (and better) job.
