Mysteriously, Quicken stopped working.

Program Misbehaving: Quicken Home & Business 2005-2006

It is as simple as saying, "And suddenly, Quicken stopped working. "

When I attempt to load the program, I can see the task appear as a process and qw.exe sits in memory - but the splash screen never shows and the program never loads. I cannot think of any major changes that I have made to the system. What changes I have made, I disabled and rebooted to attempt again (with no luck).

I have uninstalled Quicken with WinXp Manager's Smart Uninstall, ran WinXP Manager's reg cleaner, searched for (and deleted) Quicken strings with Regseeker, scanned my computer with Ewido, Ad-Aware, and AntiVir; then checked a hijack this log and noticed nothing out of place (see what you think). I then bought the 2006 Quicken (Home & Business-been meaning to anyway) installed that and the same thing happens. Attempts top load/sits in memory as a process/never loads.

Here's a funny catch: Program will work find when booted into Safe Mode

Obviously this means that there is something buried in my normal start-up that is causing Quicken to fail loading. I've tried to troubleshoot it; Quicken Help believes it is user error (I can't blame them), but short of a whole new install (which I really do not wanna do) I have no idea what other trouble shooting steps to take.

I'd be happy with some suggestions that could lead me to another path. I've ran out of ideas as how to tackle the problem.

Both are disabled. Quicken support has taken a week to draw a blank on being able to help. Suggested a complete sys re-install which I want to avoid if possible (my system is running great otherwise.)
