This file seems to open up ist when u open windows explorer, and list all the folders, and files in this directory. It gets larger and larger etc. I wish to go to the C drive 1st, and keep MY DOCUMENTS down further. How can I do this? I wish to open and see the drive letters first after the desktop listings, not the document folder. In w98 this folder was within the C Drive, when opened. Is there away of doing this .

    Thanks all

Create a new shortcut. On the Target line
    Code:
    %windir%\explorer.exe /e,/select,c:\
Note the space after .exe and no spaces after that so that /e,select,c:\ are all run together.

    Newt,

    Splendid.

I've wondered what the switch syntax for explorer was. Do you know of a reference with them in as I've not found them in Help.
