For some reason all of a sudden when I open my documents folder the name of each folder are missing. This only happens when I am in thumbnail view. All I see is the thunbnail for each folder but no description. What has happened? And what can I do to solve this?

Some people call this a "tweak" cause the thumbnails will display faster.

    Hide Names in Thumbnail View

To disable names while switching to thumbnail view in Explorer, hold down shift and switch to thumbnail view

You might try it and see if it reverses itself.

Thank you very much for the quick reply and this did solve my problem. Come to think of it I did push the shift button when I open my documents but had no idea that this would happen.

Another tip filed away for reference... I love learning seemingly "insignificant" things here, and you guys are all great for so freely sharing. :D
