    Hi,

I've just searched over 200 postings to find something on my problem with no result so here goes.

I have just installed a second H/D "D" and copied to that XP Home and SP2 files....they are just sitting there, not installed.

I boot into "C" and since installing "D" My Computer on "C" just contiues searching..with that little flashlight.
The other thing I have noticed also is that if I go to save a graphic off a website then it just freezes and I have to utilize WTM to cancel out.

    Can you elaborate on ....
Exactly what have you copied over - you cannot simply copy the OS to another disk, you need to use a ghosting or cloning program.

    Hi Pete,

I have over 1gb of files there...XP Home and SP2.

As for the problems I was having I have overcome that issue by changing the order of C and D drives in the BIOS.

I had a spare 8gb disk so thought I might be able to set it up with XP as a backup... "if that makes sense "

Gotta work out how to install XP on the D drive.
