I have just set up multiple monitors on my pc....is there a way i can play video games on monitor1 and read webpages on monitor 2 without the alt tab effect...ie while waiting for my warcraft 3 game on monitor 1 i would like to read web pages on monitor2 without it alt tabing out of warcraft 3...is it possible in xp or am i asking too much....2 monitors coming out of the same video card if that matters...one coming out on dvi and the other coming out on vga.

    thnx for any help

There are two distinct settings for dual monitors...

1-> Same image on both monitors
2-> Extend the desktop setting would allow you to drag apps to the second monitor

In my experience of several years of using dual monitors only one screen can be 'live' at any one time. Extending the desktop to cover two monitors is in reality no different to having two windows open on a single monitor - only one can be live at any given time. May be different if one of the windows is a TV window, but not if they are both Windows apps.

Games will usually give you this kind of trouble.
