Hello I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me.
I have windows 98, and was wondering if anyone could tell me how I can multi task? Or in otherwords how I can do more than one thing at a time while on the net. For instance I would like to be able to continue to surf, or check mail when I am downloading files. If I happen to be downloading anything I can view any web pages, they all say "no page to display ", but I have no problems surfing otherwise. Only when I am downloading.
Thanks so much in advance for your help.
    Peace&kindness,
    fran:confused:

    Hi Fran + welcome

I like to give my downloads as much bandwidth as possible. I use two methods (workarounds).
One is to start surfing and right-click on all the links I would like to read and select "open in new window ". These will go onto the Task Bar. I can get around 25 on the task bar before I start to run out of memory. Once you have enough windows open then start the download and sit back and browse the web pages/emails you have waiting.
The other is to do all the surfing first, then start the download and go on to doing something else (word processing, wash the dog) while the download takes place.

    Matt
Edit: wow that contains 17 W's. Wonder what the "W" record is?....yes another 6. I might be on track.
