    mscoree.dll file

    xp-home sp1.

    "c:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime\09\01\Intel32\DotNetInstaller.exe" cannot access a necessary file, "mscoree.dll ".

I downloaded the file (mscoree.dll) but have no clue where it should be.

Am I on the right track. or is more envolved than just placeing the file in the correct location. and where would that be.

    any assistance is greatly appreciated.

    regards:captjlddavis

    EDIT........found some info at symantec....

    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nsw.nsf/docid/2002112512224107

Windoctor found the error so maybe it is a false positive.....
Though it has never shown this error before.....

Any further assistance or information is still greatly appreciated...
