MS OFFICE Service pack

I recently patched up office2k. After I installed SP2, word kept closing by itself on me. I would open a document, but when i tried to edit or do anything the program would just close. Could anyone tell me why this is happening, suggestion on how to fix this, or "applaud" Bill for this wonderful "non-problematic" software??

I have seen something similar before... but I do not think that solution will work for you... But may spark some ideas as to what could.

When you install MS Works...
If you go and try to use Word with out entering the Keycode then you are not able to use Word... It acts identical to how you described...

After you Add the key code typically you are okay...
so maybe something when wrong when you patched it and need to reinstall
