I have downloaded the latest fire fox and am using windows XP all updated to the latest.
Recently I tried to go into doing the jigsaw at Jigsaw puzzles .com and was informed that I could not open the puzzle as a problem reading java applets.
I have windows 2000 installed on another harddrive and have the same mozilla fire fox and I have no problems with that one.I am also able to use my windows internet explorer to do the puzzles just wondering what could be the cause with the mozilla firefox in windows XP I am using the adobe plug and play that I downloaded whether that makes a difference or not I do not know.
I have tried getting information from both java and mozilla and have not been able to understand what i am supposed to do so if anyone can give me the answer in a clearer maneer would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

Which version Java do you have? I don't have Win2k, so I am not sure how to compare it with WinXP-SP2. But, look in the Control Panel/Add/Remove. do you have the same version Java in both computers. I have Java6, update 2.
    Is Java enabled in Tools|Options?
    Is this the site

The link which you gave me had me go through several steps to verify that I had the correct Java version, and eventually gave me the puzzle. The first step started at the taskbar, by the clock. A Java icon appeared. I don't think that it is necessary to have the Java .dlls in the plugins folder, but I will try to work that way. The last several Java update have not deposited the several .dll files, which used to be present before. I think that the site was not tested with Firefox, but it can work.
Yes, that was it. I went to installation location of Java, i.e: C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_02\bin and copied all the npjava files (I think that there are six of them), and pasted them into the plugins folder of Firefox. After doing that the puzzle loaded.

Thanks I did what you said and it worked.
Can`t figure it out but maybe if I had the older ones on my computer than had upgraded would have been fine anyway however you figured it out it now works and I sure appreciate your help.
    Thanks

Java does not place the .dll files in Firefox. In fact, it has not done it for a while. It was just a hunch, and I am glad that it worked.
