For many of the problems I have with Netscape 7.1, the recommended fix includes "upgrade to Mozilla 1.5 ". (Most of the problems I have amount to annoyances only. The browser meets all of my needs. so, I am hesitant to "fix" it if it isn't broken, but, I'm one of those guys who just can't leave things alone.) My kids, however, are addicted to AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) and I don't see that bundled with Mozilla. Is it there and I just can't find it? Or, can AIM be pulled into Mozilla as an Add-In? Or, is there a stand alone version of AIM that they can run?

    Hi bobcat,

    From the Mozilla 1.5 faq:

1.10. Can I use AOL Instant Messenger directly in Mozilla, like in Netscape?

AIM is a proprietary AOL product and is integrated only with Netscape. You can still use the stand-alone version of AIM, or the Java version (if you have the Java plug-in installed).

There is also a Jabber instant messaging client for Mozilla in development at Jabberzilla.
