Can you tell us a bit more? Is it a wireless? Does it need a battery change?

Have you tried switching to another?

Ok...... have you tried swapping mice?
    Tried updating drivers? Perhaps here?

Removed from device manager..rebooted and let Windows re-detect?

when i've had problems in the past with my mouse, i uninstalled
and re-installed the mouse with the system restoration kit. or i've also reviewed my mouse properties.
Just recently, my mouse was acting a little eratic, and i took it apart and cleaned with with canned air. also, there's wheels inside that had dust wrapped around it (sort of like the brush on a vacuum cleaner) i cleaned it with a little alcohol on a q-tip, carefully removed the dust with a tweezer, and presto...my problem ended.
