hI recently installed an additional 512Mb of ram on my Acer Aspire notebook 3630, already had 256Mb.So I should have 768Mb but all I can see is 704 Mb missing 64Mb, could the memory be faulty or is there be another explanation?have also tried the 512 by it self and it shows only 448Mb

    thanks Dicky

dickyknee - Welcome to the Board :)

The 64 Mb RAM is used by the onboard graphics chip - if you had checked the originally installed 256 Mb would have shown as 192 Mb.
