    Hi Ramona,

Thank you for your prompt response.

I have all of the files in 7.1 but am short the MP3SEQ file in 4.7.

I haven't checked the rest of the information you gave me as I wanted to send this to you in hopes it may serve the purpose of the person that was having trouble finding a player for Midi files.

They will need the latest version of Irfan View which is the player. It is a free download and isn't a large file either.

A sample Midi site is Captain Dave Country. Scroll down to the listing of songs, right click on the song they want and then left click on save as target link, save in temp or what ever file they desire. Left click to save the file in the folder they chose.

This will bring up the download manager, at the top of the MGR. left click on launch file which brings up Irfanview which plays the song, close to stop the song and repeat the above procedure as often as they like. If they right click on the song it will state you must have Quick Play to play the songs. Close it and right click on the song and they're off to the races.

To listen to a song in the download manager highlight it and left click on launch file. They can save songs while another one is playing. I think it's a better system then Crescendo. Better player I think and to save them is as simple as with Crescendo.

Speaking of Quick Play is there a way to delete the plugins. I cleaned them out of the registry but that didn't remove them although it disarmed it .

I was going to delete 7.0 but it stated it would affect other users, I don't know who that would be in my case. So do you think I could saftely delete it without messing anythng else up. I think it's messing with 7.1 being on there.

I'll let you know how I do with your other suggestions. I'm sure if I follow your instructions I'll have success . I have up until now anyway.

I hope my instructions makes sense
as they'll throw rocks at Crescendo once they use this.

I'm always happy to receive your help. That's for certain. You've saved me a lot of bad words which I don't make a habit of using unless I get in a panic. I can do that pretty easy when I'm in over my head.

    Thanks a bunch, Ramona.

    Oscar

    Hi Oscar,
That file is only included in Version 5.1 for Netscape 7.1.

Thanks for the info on IrfanView! It is indeed a great little program. I use it to view WMV files.
You can delete plugins from your plugin folder, and remove the program via Add/Remove.
When you installed 7.1, did you install it in a folder separate from 7.0? I believe you stated earlier that you installed over 7.0. Since you didn't Uninstall 7.0, then an uninstalling will remove 7.1. Look in:
    Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs
What Netscape programs are listed there?

You will probably continue to have problems, if you installed 7.1 over 7.0 due to file incompatibilities. If so, then I would suggest that you do a "Clean" Install of Netscape 7.1.

"Other users" would mean if you have more than one person using Netscape. If you are the only user, then disregard the warning.

Post back if you have more questions.

    Ramona :D
