When I compose a New Message, I hit the "Send" button, in the message window, but the message does not go till I also click on the "Send/Receive" button.

I suspect that this is not what the Developer's had in mind and certainly would appreciate if someone could tell me where I have gone wrong.

    Many Thanks.

How do you connect to the internet? I think the e-mails only get sent immediately if Outlook thinks it is on a LAN.

Under Tools => Options => Mail Delivery tab => make sure "Send messages immediatley when connected" is selected.

I have posted many requests for assistance and have received some fast replies, but these beat them all. Many Thanks.

I was hoping that there was some way to avoid Retrieving all messages on the Server when I started Outlook but I guess I can't have my cake and eat it too.

    Thanks again.
