I keep getting e-mails that shows Microsoft as the sender telling me about important updates that are attachments. I have been deleting them, because I don't trust them. Does anyone know anything about these e-mails?

They aren't from MS and the attachment is most likely a virus, worm or trojan of some type. MS doesn't email any updates to anyone. Delete them without opening them and rest assured you aren't missing anything. ;)

You might also want to drop a note to everybody you know who has your email address. It could be that one of them is infected and they are sending them to you without them even knowing about it. Here's an example of one that involves a phony MS email. W32.Dumaru@mm
