I downloaded Memory Turbo and it seemed to work great at first, but now it seems to be scrubing more often then it did before.

Does anyone know anything about Memory Turbo?

    I'm running windows 98.

    Thanks

Programs like MemTurbo create free ram. They do this by making exhorbitant requests for memory to Windows, which in turn grants it, but in the process may have to move inuse memory out to the swapfile.
Then, after getting the ram, MemTurbo gives it back, and windows places it in the available pool.

All of this is a complete waste of time. Windows does not need free memory in order to run and, having free ram is a waste, because it is NOT being used. As well, why would you want INUSE memory, moved out to the swapfile.

(I also think MemTurbo is the program that says it can "defrag" memory. This is architecturally impossible to do and even if it could, would have absolutely ZERO affect on anything. The 'R' in RAM is for Random)

Uninstall it, and let Windows use RAM as it was designed to do.
