media player HELP!?/

    I got some .avi files from a friend that has windows me, some of them i am able to view but the others such as movies, keep telling me that it was unable to locate apropriate decompressor. Where can I get what I need to run my movies?

    Well, I'm going to take an (educated) guess and tell you that you will need a divx codec to watch these. Do a search and you should come up with something.
