Thanks, Newt ! ( Sorry, all - that's an 'inside (reality) joke'.)

I received an e-mail from Nick Bolton and Firetrust the other day about the newest version of MailWasher Pro.

After downloading and setting it up, I was amazed and truly impressed with an already terrific program ! It is  !!

I have been using MW, in one form or another, for more than 3 years. I have always been impressed by its ability to filter out Spam and a lot of other junk . . . but this new version is the 'absolute-best-yet' !! It's worth the price if you want to eliminate the garbage that shows up in your 'inbox' every day.

Check out "Benign" and "FirstAlert ", too, while you're there !!

    MailWasher is great.

I sent Nick $5 for my machine and $5 for my wife's back when it was free. They have been sending updates to this day even though they now charge for the software.

Besides my black and whitelist it check three blacklist sites on the internet. One click and most of the junk leaves the screen.

It doesn't get the best rating in head to head tests, but I find it very effective in meeting my needs. It was also easy to set up compared to others I have tried.

Bah! I don't see why I should have to pay full price for the new version when I already payed for the old one.

I'm sticking with the current for the time being.

Love this program. Bought it at version 3 last year and have had free upgrades including that latest...version 4.

I don't have much use for it that much anymore as my ISP finally put some SPAM guard software on their servers so my SPAM is just about NIL...I just use it now as backup.

You have to pay extra for the anti-spam software. Doesn't seem like a worthwhile upgrade for the $40 they want.

Throwing in my two cents, Mailwasher would be a smart buy if it cost twice as much. Great program and both 4.0 and 4.1 are very good (free) upgrades. Wouldn't be without this puppy .........

    ;)

Totally agree with you... :). I just upgraded (free upgrade) from 4.0 to 4.1 a couple days ago.
