For some unexplained reason my news group no longer shows up when I open my email page. I never used it or paid any attention to it until it dissappeared. Now I have a reason to use it. I have tried to re-create a news account (I named it news.comcast.net) and all seems fine until I try to access it. When I click on the news entry, one of the options that pop up is "manage news group subscriptions ". But when I click on the "manage" option I get a message saying, "failed to connect to server news.comcast.net ". Any thoughts on what I need to do ?

I don't have comcast, but it is possible that they changed the requirements for the group changed, so that you would not get it as set up. I am sure that they have some rules about it at the Comcast website.
Don't they require authentication at Comcast, and is this rather new?
