lost burner !

    I have installed a new BenQ Atapi cd burner but when I try to burn a cd in Real One it says it can't find a CD recording device.The same happens if I try Windows Media player.
    The burner came with Nero but it will not install.
    Do I need to install Nero to be able to burn with Windows media player? Can you please offer some help.

    Your burner may not be supported by those programs. I got the same message from WMP with my burner. I installed Nero and burn with it.

    lost burner

    Thanks for your reply. I used Easy CD Creator v4.05 with old burner and it was not supported with new one. I uninstalled it but the ECDC engine is still in Program files.Tried to load Nero but it does'nt continue installing after the initial Install Sheild ?
