Lost all colours

I have win2k for about 18 months with no real problems.

This morning when I restarted the system after a ms security update install (that might not have anything to do with the problem) all appeared ok as it was starting up until when almost ready to go, all colours disappeared.

All became shades of grey, desktop, wallpaper, icons, everything.

I restarted to last known good profile with exactly the same effect.

It starts off looking ok with colour until almost ready to go when all changes to shades of grey.

Any ideas, clues ???

Start the quest by booting to Safe Mode and see if the color returns. If so, your video driver is corrupt and you''ll have to reinstall the video card.

If it doesn't have color in Safe Mode, it could be the monitor has failed. Do you have a substitute you could try?
