    Hi All,

I have a Compaq Presario notebook that refuses to maintain the volume and power setting icons in the system tray. They stick until a reboot, then must be added back manually again - and yes, the proper checkboxes ARE checked on the approriate tabs and "hide unused icons" for the tray is NOT.

Back in the win'98 days, there was a way to install the icons using rundll32 with some arguements after it. Of course since dumping win'98, I don't have any examples to show you, but the old-timers should know if it's possible to do this in XP or not. Specifically, install the two aforementioned icons into the system tray using a shortcut with the rundll32 commands...

    TIA!

    Russ
