When I type in my logon info at a website, I am supposed to be prompted to answer a security question BEFORE I can log in. Win Vista Home Premium skips that question and logs on to the website. My Win XP SP3 system DOES prompt me for the security question before it allows be access to that website.

My Vista Home Premium computer Internet setting is to NOT save login information for forms. I am the sole Administrator of this machine with Administrative Rights.

How do I make the Vista machine ask me for the security question as does the XP machine BEFORE it logs into a website?

99.99999% of sites that require a login store the info inside COOKIES.

There is no way VISTA could correctly quess what the answer to a question is....So logic dictates that the info is in a cookie.

To test - zap all cookies on the Vista machine...and or add the site to your trusted site list on the XP machine and see if it too will bypass the question.

I tried deleting ALL cookies several times, still does the same thing.

I'm also running the same version of IE on both machines (IE8 lastest version).

IE Tools->Options->Advanced tab->RESET button might help.

Tools > Internet Options > Content tab > Auto Complete Settings > uncheck "Forms" or press Delete AutoComplete history...
