Is there a way to login into a domain when the win2000 login screen does not give the option of picking a domain???

I borrowed a computer and in changing some networking settings I accidentally also told the computer to not login to a domain (hence no domain pull-down at login screen). Now, the login name given to me will not work nor does the computers owner's login (since he never logged in w/o a domain). Is there a way to login to a specific domain w/o being able to login to the computer from the no domain login screen???

    Please help!!!

    thanks in advance,
    Pete

If at this point you have a local login that works and it has admin rights, you can fix things.

The PC absolutely will have a local admin account - probably still named Administrator but unless you know the password for it, won't help you much.

So I guess the question is, can you (or anyone else) log on at all? If so, may be possible to fix. If not, you now have a large, expensive paperweight.
