I recently bought a 30G hard drive in order to dual boot win me and xp. Chopped the drive in half and installed me on first partition (C) xp on second half (D). Works great!!!! Then I put my original drive back in as slave on primary (for storage and backups). Deleted partition and created extended, then went to make entire drive a logical drive. Maximum amount of space I am allowed for logical drive falls just a little short of full extended drive. Shows up in me and xp as E and seems to all work, just want to know why I was not allowed all of the extended partition space for logical drive??????????? Thanks in advance for any help

    Welcome to Windows BBS. :)

Try a Google search for "cluster size" and include the inverted commas. HTH :)

    it's logical

Why not change the slave drive from "logical to Primary" as you are not using it for bootup, right?
    :)
