    log on oops,,,,

Since I am a novice be kind:rolleyes: Anyway I am on my backup computer with a 12 inch? screen.
In trying to get rid of any type 'log on' with a password etc.,I changed my log on settings to open w/o all that password stuff,,I just want to turn on my unit and get down to business.:p
Now I get an log window with user name:adminster,,and the password part plank,,I never used a password. When I click on O.K.,,I get a message ;unable to log on because of an account restriction:
If I could get to restore I could fix it I suppose,,I will not do this thing again,,I hope. Thanks,,please excuse my slow typing..

Please say exactly how you did that since it will make a difference in how you fix it.

And the exact, entire error message along with exactly when it happens would help.

But if you have the XP OS CD, you can just boot from it and get to the recovery console. If the Administrator account does have a blank password (and the system will see a password but all blank as opposed to not having a password) you may be able to fix things.
