Loadqm.exe MSN Messanger

Ok, So I've been using MSN Messanger on a windows ME computer. It loads Loadqm.exe, which is a piece of ****-*****-up-my-computer bit of software. I can delete it, clean the registry and start-up folders, MSN always downloads it again everytime I try and log on to MSN. Anyone know how to stop this???

sorry about that poorly worded post. i failed to proof read.

i can clean my system of loadqm.exe but msn always re-installs it, each time i log in. can this be stopped?? maybe with a registry hack or something?? msn seems to have an auto update feature that can't be disabled.

I agree with you 100%. MSN Messenger 5.0 is pretty bad.

The only way to stop "Loadqm.exe" from loading, is to go to MSCONFIG > STARTUP tab. UNcheck "LoadQM" and reboot. Do NOT delete "Loadqm.exe" from your Windows folder. And, do NOT delete "qmgr.inf" from your Windows\Temp folder. If you do, MSN Messenger 5.0 just reinstalls it.
