I recently did a system restore and now when I get a link to click on via an outside program the link won't open in either Internet Explorer or Firefox browsers.eg.If I get an e-mail from someone and there is a link in it,when I click on the link it doesn't open,I have to copy the link and then paste it into my browser. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?

    thanks :)

The way E-Mail addresses are being stolen it might be just as well.

I would suspect that you are ready are but just in case. A Friendly warning.

BE VERY CAUTIOUS about opening links contained in E-MAIL.

If you are NOT 100% sure from where the mail came DO NOT open them.

I write this warning due to the fact that I spend 2 hours a while back cleaning out the TRASH on my Wifes' machine after she clicked on a link that SUPPOSEDLY came from a Friend.

    bluenose12--
IE and OE are closely connected. Fixes for hyperlinks in one will usually fix the other.

bluenose12--Did that Ghost backup predate or postdate the System Restore you mention in post #1, which seemed to cause the problem?

Please wait for ideas from others. But I believe I see a reason for using caution here.

I personaly do not think it a good idea to use both System Restore AND Ghost.

I have the same question that Welshjim does about the per-dating idea.

Either that or Ghost backsup A LOT more than System Restore does.
