    Hi,

I`m looking to limit access from my daughter to programs on my pc which could cause damage to other things on the pc and my webserver.

How would I be able to do this in XP?

Do I need a 3rd party software or can this be done in XP? if so how as I can`t find anything in the XP account settings.

    Thanks

Basically you need to set up a Limited Account for your daughter - see How to Create & Configure User Accounts in Windows XP

In Windows Explorer go to Tools > Folder Options > View - scroll down to 'Use simple file sharing (recommended)' and uncheck it if it is checked.

Then go to the exe file of a program that you do not want her to have access to, right click > Properties > Security tab > highlight her account and set permissions to deny use of that exe file.
