So i've gone through the sticky about this issue, and no success. I've manually changed my ip, but i still can't get a connection, same with the netsh deal.

running windows xp with linksys router. there are 2 other computers hoooked up to the router that work just fine....but when i moved in and tried to connect, i get nothing.

also, i'm running zone alarm, and in the sticky it was mentioned that running it could be a problem, but when i deactivate it i still can't get a connection.

Have you tried switch out the cable with a known working one?

Even trying a different network card?

Try a different port on the router?

Didn't read the sticky on this so not sure if these are mentioned.
