Laptop upgrade to Win98?

I have been given an old laptopToshiba T2130CS which has no CD drive
How can I upgrade to Win 98?
There is sufficient room on the HDD but even a cut down version of w98 is over 120 Mb so too much for floppies
I suppose I could remove HDD and link up to a PC but I would need to buy a IDE cable and converter. Is there another way ?

no one any ideas? is there no way an external CD rom drive can be connected to a laptop?

 

I dont know about a CD connection, but my laptop I can connect a zipdrive for backup purposes.

 

Could I copy win98 to a zip disk and then run setup and load it from the zip drive ?
problem is I shall need to load drivers for the zip drive and I have no CD drive!!!..........

 

If you can connect to the net with this laptop, you can download zip drive setup from the net. For Win98, you are going to need several zips.. Any external ports on this thing?

 

Its a pile of poo really.
Its got rs232 and serial port its got 3pcmcia cards too ethernet 111 modem 28.8kbs and a Nokia cellular data card whatever that is. ? I presume it will allow transfer of data to and from a cell fone.

I have a PC toPC serial port cable link could I use that anyway?
